Patient Tracking System Update

Intra-jurisdictional Patient Tracking System training is nearing completion. Over the past two weeks, Loudoun County trained career staff and several volunteer members in latest generation patient tracking software use. Intensive classroom instruction was combined with a mini MCI scenario incorporating hands on training with an aircraft trainer and bus.

Patient trackers are used throughout the regions on Mondays, during MCIs, and planned events. The trackers will be used at the upcoming Army Ten Miler and Marine Corp Marathon.

Meet Lucy

As you may remember from one of our previous posts, this is Lucy. She is one of five Explosive Ordnance Detection (EOD) Canines (K9s) procured for the Northern Virginia Law Enforcement agencies who participated in the NVERS EOD K9 project earlier this year. The dogs and their handlers support an increased detection capability and ensures the effectiveness of not only the individual departments, but region, in fulfilling their mission during elevate threat levels.
