Objective: The Northern Virginia High Threat Response Program will be offering a Until Help Arrives Train-the-Trainer Course to regional partners who wish to become certified to provide this training to their communities.

DESCRIPTION
The Until Help Arrives program was developed with the goal of building a continuum of care, including community efforts to be the help, until help arrives.
PART ONE: CURRICULUM (Thursday, April 16)
The training will be held in two parts. The first part will teach participants the Until Help Arrives training including introduction, respond, rescue, report, and survey sections. The bulk of the training is on the rescue portion. The entire training will last 8 hours.
PREREQUISITE

PART TWO: TEACH BACK (Monday, April 27)
The second part will require students to teach the Until Help Arrives training back to the trainers to ensure they understood key concepts and can communicate those concepts to non-public safety personnel. This session will last 4 hours.

The class is capped at 50 students and spots are offered on a first come, first served basis. Additional information will be distributed as the training nears.
