NVERS Hires New Director

We are pleased to announce and welcome the new NVERS Program Director, Walt Kaplan.  Walt’s official start date will be September 14, 2015.

Many of you may know Walt from his involvement within the NCR and NVERS over the years.  He joins us from Mission Critical Partners where he has served as the Director of Homeland Security, responsible for business and project management, company growth, and providing thought leadership at the local, State and Federal levels. Walt has experience with, and a strong understanding of, our Region and in the fields of public health, emergency medical services, firefighting, law enforcement, and interoperable communications. In addition, Walt presently serves as a member of the national command staff for one of the Health and Human Services (HHS) emergency response teams and has deployed to every major national disaster since Hurricane Andrew in 1992.
