The Fall 2021 Northern Virginia Command Officer Training is scheduled for September 20, 21, and 22 from 0800 to 1200 hours, and from 1830-2230 on September 21. The presentation will include topics addressing the direct impact on command post operability/interoperability since the implementation of CAD-to-CAD across the region, and a high acuity incident review.
The training will be held online via Microsoft Teams.
Training Topics
Incident Command interoperability under CAD-to-CAD Automatic-Aid panel
The panel will address command post capabilities, and differences in running incident command. This is important interjurisdictionally with CAD-to-CAD automatic-aid units running across more boarders.
CAD Functionality Panel
The panel will provide a very simple overview of the functionality each system offers. Oversight of the basic operations for each agency’s CAD system as it relates to the incident commander.
Incident Review
James Mirabile, Battalion Chief with Prince William County Fire and Rescue Department will present a review of a near miss incident that occurred in their county.
