NVERS will host two (2) offerings of a regional exercise for all Medically Vulnerable Populations Partners (Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living Facilities, Dialysis, Home Health, Hospice, ICF/IID).
- Session 1: October 30, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM - Located in the Eastern portion of the NVERS region.
- Session 2: November 20, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM - Located in the Western portion of the NVERS region.
Note: Any NVERS stakeholder/partner can attend either session, please register for the option most convenient for your organization.
The discussion-based exercise will focus on the aftermath of an incident that impacts communication systems, access to information technology systems, and critical infrastructure. For the first time, this exercise will bring together all of the listed partner groups, and provide a forum for the exchange of knowledge and identification of best practices across provider types. The exercise will include content specific to each provider type, as well as generally applicable content for the benefit of all participants.
This will be a CMS-compliant, community-based exercise and all participating organizations will be listed in the regional After-Action Report (AAR).
The intended audience of the seminar includes:
- Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Facilities: Administrators, Directors of Maintenance/Engineering, Senior Clinical Staff.
- Dialysis Facilities: Administrators, Directors of Maintenance/Engineering, Senior Clinical Staff.
- Home Health and Hospice: Administrators, Senior Clinical Staff.
- ICF/IID: Administrators, Directors of Maintenance/Engineering, Senior Clinical Staff.
- Local Government Partners: Local Public Health Emergency Coordinators, Local Emergency Management Agency Staff.
