Please join the Northern Virginia Emergency Response System (NVERS) for the inaugural Emergency Preparedness Forum for Assisted Living Facilities. NVERS is an alliance of local governments and community partners who build regional capacity and capability in all facets of emergency preparedness. Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs) play a key role in caring for the most vulnerable members of the community, particularly during emergencies and disasters. This virtual meeting is designed to provide a forum for Northern Virginia ALF's to:
- Receive a briefing from the National Weather Service on the 2020-2021 winter outlook;
- Discuss ALF preparedness concerns (COVID-19 or otherwise);
- Identify opportunities for regional initiatives/collaboration; and
- Receive training on conducting facility risk assessments
- Participants will be trained on using a Hazard Vulnerability Analysis (HVA) tool
