The Northern Virginia Emergency Response System (NVERS) and our Regional Healthcare Coordination Center (RHCC) will conduct a regional bi-monthly communications drill on the fourth Wednesday of the month with all hospitals in the healthcare coalition region.
On the day of the drill, the NVERS RHCC will create an event in the Virginia Healthcare Alerting & Status System (VHASS) and send a text to all medically vulnerable populations partners with an active profile. Participating facilities and organizations will have a 3-hour window to participate in the drill. Completing the drill tasks within VHASS will take approximately five (5) minutes.
Following the completion of this drill NVERS staff will provide documentation of participation to assist participants in meeting their CMS or other accreditation requirements for communications drills.
