Dr. Tamara Herold is an American Crime Scientist. She is an Associate Criminal Justice Professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and an expert in crowd and place management, as well as police training. She studies dynamics that lead to crowd and neighborhood violence. Dr. Herold develops and promotes evidence-based strategies to increase public and officer safety, build community trust, and advance organizational effectiveness.
In this four hour keynote presentation, Dr. Herold will provide attendees with the tools and knowledge to build operational plans using evidence-based strategies and toolkits. Dr. Herold will also discuss and provide best practices to improve frontline, supervisory, and command officer decision making and enhance current policies and response tactics related to crowd dynamics and control.
